Engineer, Manufacturing (2nd shift)

About the Role

This position emphasizes non-conformance identification and prompt, thorough remedial actions to determine root cause and implement corrective actions in a timely, cost-effective, and customer-focused manner. The role requires close interaction and collaboration with other engineering disciplines and hourly functions, working effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment. You will support and participate in manufacturing engineering teams and projects, ensuring production schedules are met on time and within cost targets.

Requirements

• AA/AS degree with 4-7+ years of experience, or
• BA/BS degree with 2-4+ years of experience, or
• MA/MS degree with 0-2+ years of experience.
• Teambuilding focus, principles, and practices.
• Experience working with an hourly production group, union or non-union.

Skills

• Proficient technical foundation in manufacturing engineering.
• Effective tactical individual and team support practices.
• Experienced and skilled in quality and process improvement tools, with a focus on innovation, continuous improvement, and root cause/corrective action.
• Some project management skills.
• Strong organizational and communications skills.
• Exposure to and experience with manufacturing and materials-related IT systems and programs.
