Essential Job Functions
- Schedule and perform preventive maintenance (PM) on commercial kitchen equipment.
- Repair and maintain all commercial kitchen equipment including stove tops, ovens, hot boxes, and small appliances.
- Operate and maintain low-pressure boilers for the hot water system.
- Maintain and repair dish washing equipment.
- Complete all assigned work orders and daily tasks promptly.
- Maintain correct stock/inventory of kitchen parts and communicate when replenishment is needed.
- Respond to all requests from guests and associates.
- Assist engineers and mechanics as needed with repairs.
- Keep all work areas clean.
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance experience required; hotel experience preferred.
- Commercial kitchen experience preferred; commercial refrigeration experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, low voltage controls, plumbing, and gas systems.
- Experience in reading and interpreting schematics.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, time management, computer proficiency, and a focus on guest satisfaction are essential.
- Must be willing to work based on business and occupancy levels.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
- Requires repetitive motion, including the use of handheld and powered tools.
- Requires use of hardware and tools, ladder, telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine and push to talk radio.
