About the role
Responsible for organizational change and continuous improvement for manufacturing and distribution departments. Supports area managers in achieving higher quality products, shorter lead times, and reduced costs.
Responsibilities
- Develops and leads project work across multiple disciplines and multiple plant locations
- Conceives, develops, justifies, and implements manufacturing and distribution processes
- Makes operational process improvements by engaging with facility engineers and shop floor personnel
- Defines, plans, and executes continuous improvement projects using project management skills, shop floor experience, and creative problem-solving
- Improves production and equipment capabilities through the application of lean manufacturing principles
- Reviews new technologies to ensure optimal processes are achieved and maintained
- Works in a fast-paced environment with high-profile exposure and engagement with local and corporate leadership
- Manages multiple initiatives and communicates progress to engineering leadership and shop floor stakeholders
Requirements
- 0 - 10 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
Qualifications
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to engage with and influence cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of manufacturing and distribution processes
