Engineer (Junior & Assistant) & Associate Civil Engineer
The City of Fridley, located just 15 minutes north of downtown Minneapolis (population 28,000), is seeking applicants for the position of full-time Police Officer.
About the role
As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining public safety, enforcing laws, and providing emergency services within the community.
Responsibilities
- Investigate crimes and gather evidence
- Provide emergency medical assistance and first aid
- Patrol assigned areas to prevent crime and maintain order
- Interact with the public in a professional manner
- Respond to emergencies and assist in crisis situations
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Minnesota driver's license
- Successful completion of a police academy training program
- Pass a background check and drug screening
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical fitness and stamina suitable for law enforcement duties
Skills
- Proficiency in computer systems and software
- Knowledge of traffic control and emergency response procedures
