Engineer IV Mechanical

Responsibilities

• Complete project specific objectives under direction of a Senior Mechanical Engineer.
• Specify, evaluate bids, and perform vendor document review for process equipment such as pressure vessels, tanks, pumps, and heat exchangers.
• Perform calculations for equipment and piping.
• Specify Materials for process and utility piping services.
• Attend client, contractor, and internal team project meetings.
• Perform field surveys to collect required field data and assist with interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications in the field.
• Opportunity to lead the mechanical work for projects, including schedule, budget management and weekly reporting responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.
• 7 to 10 years of experience working in the Power, Refining, or Chemical Industries.
• Experience applying standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to ensure compliance with design basis, and safety and environmental regulations.
• Strong communication and inter-personal skills are required for coordination with internal team members as well as Vendors and Clients.
• Willingness to learn and work on a variety of tasks within multiple industries.
• Willingness to travel and work in office and field environments.
• Strong desire for continuous improvement and career growth.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional Engineers License.

Pay

Salary/Pay Rate: In accordance with Illinois Equal Pay Act, the expected salary range for this Illinois position, Engineer IV Mechanical, is between $119,600.00 and $168,334.40 annually. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
