Engineer Intern

About the role

The Engineering Intern will be working with the Business Unit Manager to optimize the shot peening process, including design and execution.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a 3D Printer.
• Design and fabricate custom tooling using conventional methods and 3D printing.
• Identify opportunities for masking/general improvements.
• Create SolidWorks models, assemblies and drawings.
• Support machine improvements, troubleshooting, & repairs.
• Research and procure materials from vendors.
• Potentially travel to facilities for on-site work.

Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering student of sophomore standing or higher with at least a 3.0 GPA in major.
• CAD Modeling Experience (ideally SolidWorks).
• 3D Printing Experience (experience with Cura software).
• Manual lathe & vertical Mill experience a plus.
• Design & Build Experience (e.g. Robot team, Catapult Team, HPVC Team, or personal projects).

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering program.
• Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in major.
• Must have completed sophomore year of college.
