About The Role
The Engineer in Training (EIT) is an entry-level engineering position designed to provide hands-on experience in precast concrete design, production, and project coordination. This role supports senior engineers in structural analysis, project execution, and cross-functional collaboration while working toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure. The EIT gains exposure to multiple aspects of engineering, including design, manufacturing, and field operations.

Who We’re Looking For

- This individual is detail-oriented, proactive, and willing to learn across design, production, and field environments.
- This individual is collaborative, adaptable, and driven to grow technically while progressing toward Professional Engineer licensure.
- IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred)
- 0–3 years of engineering experience, preferably in precast or structural design
- Basic proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Self-motivated with desire to pursue PE licensure
- Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Occasional visits to active plant and field locations are required based on operational needs.
- Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required while in the plant and field.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and navigate active plant and field environments as needed.
- Must be able to climb stairs, walk on uneven surfaces, and safely move through industrial work areas.
- May be exposed to moving equipment, machinery, and other standard industrial hazards.
- May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, as well as noise, dust, and vibration.
