Engineer III-Preventative Maintenance- Day Shift-Eldorado

Job Description Perform a combination of preventative maintenance, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, carpentry, upholstery, painting and electrical maintenance throughout property. Responsibilities Implements routine maintenance and urgent repair in accordance with sound engineering practices and occupational health and safety regulationsClosely monitors the effects of servicing and maintenance on their condition wherever possibleKeeps all records of maintenance and testingPerforms preventive maintenance of all mechanical equipmentLamp replacementResponsible for repairing and/or replacing materials on game tables, chairs, stools and additional furniture throughout the property as neededRepairs of wallpaper, paint and drywallFixture repair and replacementCircuit breaker resetChanges AC filtersBasic plumbing repairsHotel Guest room repairsResponds to Maximo WO’sKeeps daily logsSupports events and casinoExemplify our core values, family style service, our mission and visionExemplify our DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) culturePerform other job-related duties as assigned Qualifications Excellent communication skillsAbility to understand and comply with all hotel and departmental rules, regulations, policies and proceduresSkill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staffRead, write, and communicate verbally in EnglishAbility to perform basic mathWorking knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipmentPrevious experience in Engineering or Facilities in relation to general building maintenance Minimum three years’ experience as a general building repair technician preferably involved in hospitality industry High School diploma or equivalent Additional Requirements Requires 90% mobility to include frequent standing, bending and reaching from floor to 6ft., climbing using ladders and stairsOperating equipment such as scissor lifts, forklift, pallet jackTransporting, pushing, pulling, lifting and maneuvering large loads weighing up to 100 lbs.Use of hand and power toolsRequires eye/hand coordination and manual dexterityRequires normal sense of smell, touch, and soundRequires normal vision range and the ability to distinguish letters and symbolsRequires communicating by telephone, beeper, and radio GUEST SERVICE (INTERNAL/EXTERNAL) STANDARDS: Employee is required to meet and deliver our core values, service standards, and family style service.
