About This Role
The Facilities Engineer supports both GMP and non-GMP utility systems at a dynamic biologics manufacturing site. Key responsibilities include creating partnerships with other teams, managing small engineering projects, and contributing to multi-function teams.
What You’ll Do
- Provide Plant Engineering support to utility systems, including monitoring and analysis, investigation of equipment failures, and execution of continuous improvement projects.
- Support project support and execution for small OpEx projects and larger Capital projects, including startup, commissioning, and validation.
- Maintain and update Engineering documentation, including drawings, URSs, specifications, change controls, and technical reports.
- Support GMP compliance efforts, including personal training, validation document development, compliance workflow tracking, and regulatory audit support.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 2+ years of progressive engineering experience.
- Strong organization, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Experience with Engineering documentation requirements (drawings, specifications, URS/FRS, validation protocol, change management, etc).
- Experience with structured problem solving or related approaches.
- Ability to work 100% on site and participate in an on-call rotation and [rarely] work rotating, or extended shifts as needed to support shutdowns and major projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GMP facility systems including documentation requirements for GMP manufacturing facilities such as Change Control and Validation.
- Engineering experience supporting clean utilities (air, gases, water), boilers, chillers, process glycol and tower/chilled water systems.
- Experience writing deviations and conducting investigations.
