Position Summary
The incumbent in this position will perform preventive and predictive maintenance and may include HVAC-R, electronic systems, electrical, air, water and/or equipment. The incumbent is under the direction of the Supervisor; the incumbent also responds to all General Maintenance service calls.
Essential Functions
- Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Bristol their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service.
- Maintains cleanliness of all engineering spaces.
- Conducts required drills and inspections.
- Responds to maintenance service calls in a timely manner.
- Repairs, replaces and performs preventive maintenance on electrical, mechanical and kitchen equipment.
- Performs skilled maintenance repairs to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry equipment and systems.
- Adjust temperature settings on a Building Automation System.
- Understanding of Emergency Generators and their operations. Ability to perform functions required during power switching.
- Maintains technical logs and records all relevant data as appropriate.
Education And /Or Experience Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of maintenance job experience performing general maintenance duties (plumbing, electrical, HVAC and other general facility repairs).
- A working knowledge of all aspects of maintenance, repair and service and the ability to troubleshoot problems and take appropriate action.
Additional Requirements
- Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Virginia Lottery.
- Must successfully pass background check.
- Must successfully pass drug screening.
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours.
- Drivers of company vehicles must have a valid driver’s license and meet the requirements/standards listed on the Motor Vehicle Permit Application provided by Hard Rock.
- Knowledge of machines and equipment including but not limited to; basic hand and power tools, spray equipment, etc. Safe use of hazardous materials.
- Must know how to operate an aerial lift.
- Certified in three trades and/or 6+ years of experience.
- Ability to be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of employees and guests.
- Operate trucks and light motorized equipment.
- Follow oral and written directions.
- Must have exceptional guest service skills.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
