Engineer III - Electronics

About the role

ZF is hiring a Hardware Electronics Engineer for its team in Farmington Hills, Michigan, USA. This position is part of ZF’s ADAS & HPC business, which is entering an exciting new phase of growth and transformation within the advanced automotive technology space. The business unit is planned for divestiture, creating a unique opportunity to help shape the future of next-generation driver assistance and high-performance computing technologies.

Responsibilities

• Create concise analyses, reports, and presentations for internal technical discussions and reviews.
• Support Core/Application ADAS Safety ECU and Camera product design and development cycles.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, system, software, and validation teams to develop camera products.
• Manage electrical engineering changes and update schematics, BOMs, PCB layouts, and application-specific documentation.
• Contribute to functional safety analysis, including ISO 26262 work products such as DFMEA, FMEDA, and Worst-Case Analysis.
• Support hardware verification, troubleshooting, EMC/EMI testing, environmental testing, release reporting, supplier coordination, and quality management activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of electrical engineering/design experience
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field

• Lab verification skills, ASIC analog/digital design knowledge, Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, time-management, and cross-functional collaboration abilities
