Engineer III for Myerstown, PA provides engineering support to the product supply organization to optimize manufacturing operations and production processes; develops engineering solutions for process improvements; audits equipment vendors, construction services, and engineering contractors; prepares equipment specification documents and engineering drawings; works with PLCs and mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronics, HVAC, fabrication, and industrial maintenance systems; manages capital investments for the Myerstown production facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to product supply organization to optimize manufacturing operations & production processes.
• Develop engineering solutions to achieve manufacturing process improvements.
• Audit equipment vendors, construction services & engineering contractors.
• Prepare equipment specification documents.
• Prepare engineering drawings.
• Work with programmable logic controllers & mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronics, HVAC, fabrication, and industrial maintenance systems.
• Manage capital investments for Myerstown production facility.
• Analyze manufacturing & packaging line efficiencies and KPIs to identify productivity optimization opportunities.
• Plan & implement initiatives to improve manufacturing equipment effectiveness.
• Use 5S methods, Gemba Walks, process confirmations & Kaizen events to identify and resolve root cause of production and quality issues.
• Use Power BI to develop dashboard & visualizations to monitor manufacturing and packaging KPIs.
• Manage project timelines & budgets for equipment installation, facility upgrades, and/or process improvements.
• Apply PDCA and/or DMAIC techniques to Oral Solid Dosage manufacturing & packaging process performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional manufacturing & quality teams to set targets for capital investments.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or closely‑related field and 2 years of experience in a manufacturing and/or packaging environment leading capital engineering projects in a GMP regulated manufacturing environment.
• Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in the stated fields and 5 years of progressive, post‑Bachelor’s experience.

Pay

Salary range: $110,000
