Responsibilities
- Perform root cause analysis by testing at bench level, understanding and verifying the reported customer behavior, and identifying potential causes from our product to trigger it.
- Follow up on analysis steps from hardware and software analysis and report findings once a root cause is identified.
- Report analysis steps on warranty management tool.
- Collaborate with Product Warranty Engineers to ensure structured problem solving is followed in root cause investigation.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive electronics warranty analysis or related field with knowledge of North American, European, or Asian OEM warranty processes, systems, and tools.
- Demonstrated experience applying structured problem-solving methodologies to complex automotive electronic systems.
- Hands-on experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, CAN tools, or data acquisition systems.
- Experience working in a cross-functional environment with hardware, software, and product engineering teams.
- Experience documenting findings and tracking investigations within issue management systems.
- Strong track record of identifying and reducing NTF (No Trouble Found) conditions through systematic investigation and continuous improvement efforts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Red X Problem Solving certification.
- Cross-functional experience in manufacturing or R&D (Product Engineering areas), including systems testing.
- Knowledge of CQI 14 Awareness, Unity, Empowerment.
