Engineer II - QA
About the role
As a Quality Assurance Engineer II at IEHP, you will coordinate the process for analyzing software programs by creating and implementing testing, recording test results, and providing recommendations to improve software programs based on those results. This role works independently to accomplish QA duties across IT, supporting testing efforts within an agile team and executing all levels of testing (System, API testing, Data validation, Integration, and Regression). You will evaluate the organization's technical infrastructure for security issues, interface with end users to understand requirements, and identify areas of improvement such as cost reduction and automation solutions. The role also involves performing ETL tests, requiring strong PL/SQL skills and data warehousing knowledge.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement software testing processes, including creating test plans and recording results.
- Execute all levels of testing: System, API, Data validation, Integration, and Regression.
- Evaluate the organization’s technical infrastructure for security issues.
- Interface with end users to understand requirements and identify areas for improvement (e.g., cost reduction, automation).
- Perform ETL testing with strong PL/SQL and data warehousing knowledge.
- Develop and document requirements, and lead IT QA efforts.
- Collaborate in a team-oriented, agile environment.
- Apply healthcare industry knowledge, including standard EDI formats like HL7 (ADT’s, Orders, Charges), X12 (837/835, 270/271, 276/277), NCPDP, and HIPAA.
Requirements
- Three plus (3+) years of IT Quality Assurance experience.
- Experience with requirements development, documentation, and leading IT QA efforts.
- Experience with data validation and ETL processes testing.
- Experience with API testing tools such as SOAPUI, Postman.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Prior development or automation experience using tools like Selenium, UTP, or similar.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Business Administration, Healthcare, or a related technical field from an accredited institution or a minimum of four (4) years of additional relevant work experience in lieu of the degree.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of healthcare industry-standard message EDI formats (HL7, X12, NCPDP, HIPAA).
- Knowledge of IT SDLC processes and QA practices.
- Proficiency in SQL query writing and test automation tools (a plus).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
- Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft PC desktop applications (Excel, Word, Project, Visio).
- Keen attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.

Pay
$104,041.60 USD Annually - $137,841.60 USD Annually
