Engineer II - Nuclear Test
About the Role
Electric Boat's Nuclear Test Engineering Department (D275) is seeking highly motivated engineers for the Test Procedure Writer position. This role involves preparing nuclear test procedures that support construction, maintenance, and repairs of Naval Nuclear Propulsion Plants at Electric Boat and the Nuclear Regional Maintenance Department (NRMD) in Groton, Connecticut.
In this role, you will conduct research using technical manuals, plant diagrams, and local instructions to gather required information, ensuring the safe operation of equipment, procedure flow and workability, and adherence to regulatory requirements and local writing guidelines. Additionally, you will coordinate procedure reviews, resolve procedure comments, and oversee the approval of procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Engineering
- 2-5 years of post-graduate engineering experience (if you have more than 5 years of experience, apply to req 2025-18795 instead)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance
Qualifications
Preferred
- Technical/Procedure Writing experience
- Naval Nuclear Propulsion experience
- Proficiency in the use of Adobe Framemaker
- Current DOD Secret Clearance
