Engineer II/III - Civil Design/Land Development

Job Summary

Soltesz, Inc. is seeking a full-time Site / Civil Engineer III for their Waldorf, MD office. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a team-oriented environment and have a career-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare project design documents including site grading, roadway design, storm drainage design, stormwater management design, sediment and erosion control design, and water & sewer infrastructure design.
• Meet project and client deadlines.
• Work efficiently to meet project budgets.
• Prepare graphics, exhibits, and site / civil construction plans.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers, sub consultants, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Compose technical design reports, memorandums, and other written communication such as email.
• Handle multiple concurrent projects.
• Mentor and train other civil engineering design staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• 4-5+ years of progressive experience directly related to site / civil engineering design and construction of land development projects in the Washington DC Metro area, with specific experience in Charles County or Prince George’s County preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to meet project and client deadlines.
• Works efficiently to meet project budgets.
• Prepares graphics, exhibits, and site / civil construction plans.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers, sub consultants, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Composes technical design reports, memorandums, and other written communication such as email.
• Handles multiple concurrent projects.
• Ability to mentor and train other civil engineering design staff.
• A Maryland Professional Engineer license is a plus.

Pay

$75,000 - $95,000 yearly salary
