Engineer II

About the role

The Engineer III supports the Product Manager Biometrics (PM BIO) within Project Manager Terrestrial Sensors (PM TS), Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE), Layered Protection and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN).

Responsibilities

• Installs and configures BCC devices at various military locations, including both mobile and static systems.
• Performs routine maintenance, troubleshoots, and repairs biometric hardware and software to ensure optimal system functionality.
• Provides ongoing technical support and training to users on how to effectively operate biometric equipment.
• Affords assistance with the collection, processing, and management of biometric data, ensuring data quality and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Maintains detailed and accurate records of all installations, maintenance activities, and repairs performed.
• Travel to various military installations and field locations as required to perform duties.

Requirements

• Required Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline or Two (2) additional years of relevant experience.
• Five (5) years of relevant experience providing technical support.
• Experience with the Army's Total Package Fielding (TPF) process, including New Equipment Fielding (NEF), New Equipment Training (NET), Platform Integration (PI), and Technical Field Support.
• Experience with installing, maintaining, and repairing electronic and mechanical systems.
• Proficient in data entry and operating Android and Windows systems.
• Knowledge of databases and networking.
• Familiarity with biometric technologies such as fingerprint, iris, facial, and voice.
