About the Role

As an Engineer II, you will troubleshoot technical and efficiency challenges—including direct and indirect labor, quality, capacity, plant layout, and ergonomics—and report findings to leadership. Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot technical or efficiency issues related to labor, quality, capacity, plant layout, and ergonomics, reporting to leadership as needed.
  • Establish and maintain methods or rates for operations to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Maintain systems and written procedures for production, inventory, and other operational processes.
  • Coordinate sample or pattern changes, including analysis, costing, implementation, and review of results.
  • Develop and implement cost-saving innovations for methods, labor, materials, and overhead.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs through labor reduction, process improvements, and other efficiencies.
  • Evaluate and recommend equipment and technology upgrades aligned with current industry trends.
  • Ensure rate continuity by collaborating with engineers across other facilities.
  • Conduct capacity studies, follow-up studies, and goal tracking for trainees or graduate associates to improve plant efficiency and garment costing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (equivalent work experience may substitute).
  • Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 years of experience in apparel, manufacturing, or process improvement preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles preferred.
  • Intermediate computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Working Conditions

  • Plant environment with occasional lifting (10–40 lbs).
  • Domestic and international travel required (~25%).
  • Tobacco-free workplace.
