Engineer I - Transportation
This position is located in our Boston, MA office.
About the role
Weston & Sampson is seeking Structural Engineers with 0–4 years of experience who are passionate about designing buildings and bridge structures. You will work closely with a Project Manager and actively participate on project teams to complete assignments and serve clients.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural calculations
- Develop design plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Provide other support services as needed
- Perform field assessments of existing structures
- Assist with construction administration and observation of structural projects
- Perform structural-related tasks for internal disciplines, external groups, and clients
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a structural concentration
- EIT certification preferred but not required
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, and/or MicroStation
- Experience with structural software packages is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication and technical skills
- Valid driver’s license
Pay
$72,000 – $78,000 based on education
