Engineer I (IA IT)
About the role
The Engineer I (IA IT) supports the US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) - C5ISR Center - ESI Directorate in providing computer security support. Duties include sustaining and upgrading Information Systems, offering technical expertise, documenting certifications, recommending upgrades, selecting and purchasing equipment, planning and implementing upgrades, installing hardware, managing software lists, maintaining lab networks, coordinating equipment installations, and providing technology support.
Responsibilities
- Sustain and upgrade Information Systems within the supporting labs and projects.
- Provide expertise in IT and IA/Cyber fields to support Government operations.
- Document modifications to certification and accreditation of lab space.
- Recommend future upgrades to computer systems.
- Auxiliary in the selection and purchase of software, tools, laboratory, and computer equipment.
- Plan and implement lifecycle upgrades.
- Coordinate and support equipment installation, commissioning, training, and operation.
- Install hardware, including computers, printers, laptops, scanners, and other devices.
- Create and maintain comprehensive lists of software and hardware.
- Maintain lab network hardware and software to high availability.
- Support maintenance of network accreditations.
- Provide technology support as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of experience or AA/AS with 7 years of relevant experience.
- Registered IAT Level II baseline certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+CE, CND, SSCP preferred).
- TS/SCI clearance.
Qualifications
- Experience in Information Assurance (IA) and Cybersecurity fields.
- Knowledge of network infrastructure and security protocols.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Benefits
Base salary range: $123,562 - $150,000. Overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may apply.
