Responsibilities
- Meet with representatives of University departments to review drawings, cost estimates, plan modifications, and construction progress.
- Perform drafting of engineering drawings relating to building mechanical and/or electrical systems from sketches and oral instructions.
- Measure existing facility and perform field observation of existing conditions to verify proposed designs consider existing field conditions.
- Aid in writing design specifications, preparing project cost estimates, and reviewing project bids to evaluate adherence to project specifications.
- Aid in the layout of complex mechanical and electrical systems.
- Aid in the review of contractor shop drawings and submittals.
- Obtain measurement and test data, perform preliminary engineering calculations.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
- An Engineering Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited university is preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, which will allow legal operation of a motor vehicle in the State of Missouri.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired.
- Preferred qualifications include an Engineering Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited university.
Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations.

Pay
Salary Range: $65,000 – $80,000 annually
Schedule
Shift: 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday
