Responsibilities
- Design circuitry for systems that meet project needs and requirements.
- Design and develop RF systems and embedded hardware for innovative applications.
- Collaborate with Software Engineers to ensure hardware-software integration.
- Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers to ensure hardware compatibility.
- Develop processes, procedures, and work instructions to ensure project success.
- Able to design and fabricate custom PCBs using Altium.
- Able to read and analyze data sheets.
- Able to test and troubleshoot circuit designs ensuring desired performance.
- Must be able to learn and adapt rapidly to project timelines.
- Develop novel equipment designs within a small agile team setting.
- Work closely within the team to ensure project success from the electrical engineering standpoint.
- Prepare reports and analysis supporting various projects.
- Perform tasks within time and budget constraints.
- Assists in defining specifications for procurements and initiates purchase requests.
- May monitor work of technicians and other support personnel working on their projects.
Qualifications
- Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions.
- Minimum Education And Experience: Bachelor’s degree in an engineering program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) required for Civil, Mechanical and Electrical engineering degrees; Or, Calculus-based STEM bachelor’s degree in engineering; Or, for Architects, Certification from the National Council or Architectural Registration Board (NCARB); Or Professional Engineer license.
- Skill building experience must demonstrate either deeper technical specialization or additional cross disciplinary knowledge. Graduate research experience may be recognized.
- Ability to interpret codes and standards within the discipline in which they were hired.
- Excellent communications skills are highly desired.
- Experience with other engineering disciplines is highly desired.
- The primary work location will be based at the Remote Sensing Laboratory at Nellis Air Force Base, Las Vegas, NV (RSL-N).
- Work schedule for this position will be 4/10’s, Monday – Thursday (subject to change).

- Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required.

Pay
Annual salary range for this position is: $67,704.00 - $101,566.40. Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
