Essential Duties
- Performs routine and non-routine engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks and resolution of field problems.
- Leads small projects, ensuring designs, costs, and delivery meet the project requirements.
- Solves a range of straightforward problems, analyzes solutions and assesses each using standard procedures.
- Sets up and operates engineering equipment and instruments.
- Monitors material purchases and labor expenditures and compares to planned project metrics.
- Ensures compliance with government, organization and customer engineering standards.
- Independently evaluates, selects and applies standard technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications.
- Builds knowledge of organization processes and customers.
- Works on special projects, as directed.
- Performs other related duties and tasks, as required.
Essential Requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria.
- Good communication skills including the ability to comprehend and convey detailed technical data.
- Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships.
- Good problem identification and problem resolution skills.
- Good ability to assess quoted project costs, and design accordingly.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to create and/or modify User’s Manuals and general equipment manuals (ie. Installation, Testing,..).
- Basic knowledge of Genie 2000 and NDA2000 software packages and how they relate to the Systems products.
- General knowledge of Gamma and Neutron System measurement techniques.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Technical Degree in a related engineering field.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing equipment and techniques used in fabrication.
