About the role
The Engineer I supports the U.S. Army by developing, documenting, and maintaining acquisition strategies, strategic plans, and formal program management documentation to guide capability development and modernization initiatives. They apply specialized knowledge of records management program disciplines and identify procedures and methodologies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency in the life cycle management of the organization's records and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD), Department of the Army (DA), and Assistant Secretary of the Army-Acquisition, Logistics and Technology (ASA-ALT) policies to ensure compliance with rules and regulations relating to a variety of programs and processes.
- Maintain coordination on all actions of the Records Management Program, including developing, analyzing, evaluating, advising, and overseeing the operation for the information mission area of the Records Management Program.
- Guide disposition of files, documents, both electronic and hard-copy, to include e-mail communications and video, as retention disposition is mandated due to regulation or program requirements.
- Assure conformance to the rules, regulations, and policies of the National Archives and Records Administration, Department of Defense, and Department of the Army for all records maintained by the Command.
- Ensure files are properly labeled, arranged, and packed prior to movement to the records holding area.
- Conduct periodic Records Management survey or inspection for the purpose of gathering and analyzing data to evaluate the effectiveness of all aspects of the Records Management Program.
- Develop and deploy records management training for the organization.
- Ensure all audit readiness items are addressed and provide oral/written support when defending the CPE’s records management posture during the annual RMIC/MICP testing cycle.
Requirements
- A bachelor's Degree and a minimum of two (2) years of related work experience are required.
- Or, an Associate's degree and minimum three (3) years experience OR four (4) years experience.
- Specialized experience with government and industry records management, governance, and execution can supplement the education requirement.
- TS/SCI Clearance.
Qualifications
- Salary Range: $80K-$95K
- Base salary offer is determined based on a number of factors including the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
- Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and/or discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay.
