About the role

Provide support to the operation and maintenance of the plant’s equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with equipment suppliers, plant staff to ensure successful operation of the plant.
  • Create preventative maintenance routines (PMRs) and bills of materials (BOMs) for new equipment.
  • Ensure BOMs and equipment history system match within both electronic and hard copy libraries.
  • Analyze and eliminate repetitive problems through root cause analysis, Pareto analysis, statistical review, FMEA and similar techniques.
  • Support and guide sustainable improvements in Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) of major equipment.
  • Facilitate task completion through others by gathering input.
  • Research solutions to technical problems.
  • Coordinate SAP system operations in the area of preventative maintenance routine (PMR) optimization and development with maintenance planners.
  • Provide technical support, training and development for maintenance functions with a specific focus on entrenching reliability concepts within the maintenance group.
  • Manage various plant improvement projects.
  • Supervise hourly & contracted employees when necessary.
  • Participate in maintenance on-call system.
  • Be flexible and willing to work off-shifts when necessary.
  • Communicate, improve and adhere to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Field of Study Preferred: Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering
  • Required Work Experience: 0-3 years
  • Required Technical Skills: Excel, Word, Project, etc.
