Expected salary range for Senior Engineer level: $122,400–$154,000 per year, based on experience.
About the Role
Performs advanced technical and engineering problem-solving in support of Clean Energy Center (CEC) operations. Responsible for technical decisions, with strong knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application, as well as detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analysis, activities, and programs.
- Offer technical expertise and consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
- Manage complete task lifecycle for engineering issues.
- Perform engineering and technical tasks as assigned, applying general engineering principles.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work, maintaining proper configuration management and adhering to standard design criteria, practices, and codes.
- Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of regulatory and technical projects.
- Recommend new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify operations, reduce costs, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.
- Perform additional assignments as directed, including emergency response, departmental coverage, call-outs, and support of outage activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) with 5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
- Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Design Engineering Qualifications (DG01, DG03)
- Qualified Nuclear Engineer (QNE) qualification or SRO Certification
