Engineer Facilities Engineer III (Licensed Professional Engineer)

About the role

This position will be responsible for performing engineering activities related to the evaluation, planning, design, construction, maintenance and operations of Kern County Water Agency water pumping, conveyance and purification and groundwater recovery facilities.

Qualifications

• Valid registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of California (Civil or Mechanical Engineering preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
• Four years of increasing responsibility performing engineering activities related to the evaluation, planning, design, scheduling, bidding and construction of groundwater recovery, water conveyance, pumping, distribution and/or treatment facilities

Pay

$131,539 - $159,910 annually, with an additional 3% salary adjustment effective January 9, 2027 per the General Bargaining Unit Memorandum of Understanding.
