Engineer-Equipment - III

What you'll be doing

• Work with cellular engineering and operations to ensure that the equipment required for our macro cell site projects is available when it's needed and complete.
• Determine equipment needs and order and integrate a wide range of equipment like antennas, power systems, and fiber optic cable.
• Work closely with other Network teams such as RF Design, Operations, Real Estate, Construction, Facilities and System Performance to implement new technologies and services and meet project milestones.
• Determine the equipment needs for new and existing cell sites based on engineering plans and project outlines.
• Coordinate the ordering and integration process to provide complete equipment sets for projects.
• Manage supplier relationships to meet targeted network milestones and turn-up dates.
• Attend project update meetings to present status updates.
• Follow appropriate methods and procedures for equipment tracking and inventory control.
• Initiate Material Requests for shipment from our centralized warehouse.
• Track equipment with a focus on expense reduction and just in time ordering.
• Monitor all equipment expenditures.
• Ensure vendor payment utilizing PeopleSoft Equipment Procurement.
• Oversee equipment installation and acceptance.
• Review drawings for accuracy.
• Use Fuze to order equipment.

• You're interested in new technologies and services in the area of cell site engineering and keep up with changing technology.
• You'll need to have:
• An associate's degree or two or more years of work experience.
• Three or more years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suites.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task.

Even better if you have

• Knowledge of DC power systems used in the telecommunications environment.
• Knowledge of cellular network architecture.
• Knowledge of Ericsson base station equipment, CATS/FULCRUM, MapInfo, FUZE, PURCH and PeopleSoft.
