Prescient Edge is seeking an Engineer Electrical Electronics IV to support a federal government client.
About the role
Electrical and electronics engineers design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacturing of electrical and electronic equipment, including broadcast and communications systems, electric motors, machinery controls, lighting, and wiring in buildings, automobiles, aircraft, radar and navigation systems, and transmission devices used by electric utilities. Electrical and electronics engineers work closely with computers. They specialize in different areas such as power generation, transmission, distribution, communications, and electrical equipment manufacturing. Engineers design new products, write performance requirements, and develop maintenance schedules. They also test equipment, solve operating problems, and estimate the time and cost of engineering projects.
Requirements
- 4 years of experience with design, testing, production, and documentation of marine environment hardware.
- 3 years of experience with integrating and debugging multi-domain systems (mechanical, software, electrical) for robust maritime system performance.
- 3 years of experience with integrating, setting up and maintaining communications networks, including satcom, RF and wired networks.
- 3 years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting power and power distribution systems.
- Experience with USV operations in support of military exercises.
- Experience developing curriculum and training to enhance the military’s understanding of autonomous and communication systems.
- Proficiency with Python, Java, C#/C++, electronics designing & prototyping, power systems, networking, additive manufacturing, and communications systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering.
- Secret security clearance.
