About the role

Collins Engineers, Inc., an ENR Top 500 Design Firm, is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Engineer Diver to join our team in Port Arthur, Texas. This unique opportunity combines engineering expertise with underwater exploration, contributing to projects that ensure the safety and longevity of critical infrastructure. The Engineer Diver will play a key role in waterfront and underwater bridge inspections and related engineering tasks, gaining valuable hands‑on experience while working in a collaborative, employee‑focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform waterfront, underwater, and topside bridge inspections.
• Assist in the completion of inspection and assessment reports.
• Review and interpret plans and design drawings.
• Document findings and support the preparation of inspection and assessment reports.
• Support the development of recommendations for maintenance or repairs.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and technicians on inspections.
• Use computer‑assisted engineering and design software to prepare project deliverables.
• Communicate effectively with engineering teams and project stakeholders.
• Observe and act in an appropriate manner related to safety.
• Travel regionally as required.
• Participate in training programs to enhance inspection skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
