Engineer Design Team Manager

About the role

The Engineer Design Team Manager is responsible for leading and facilitating a design team and coordinating the engineering effort on assigned projects. This role is based at High Concrete Plant in Denver, PA, and works Monday through Friday on a first shift.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a Submittal Schedule
• Ensure contractually required engineering submittals are submitted and returned to ensure contract compliance and schedule conformance
• Expedite the approval return of all submittals to ensure production schedules are met
• Oversee and manage the development of erection drawings in conformance with contract documents
• Coordinate the activities of all engineering subcontractors assigned to projects
• Identify and quantify all design scope changes, internally and externally
• Collaborate with project management in fulfilling information gathering (RFI) during the design phase of the project
• Direct and oversee all design closeout functions

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field required
• Four (4) years experience in engineering design or precast construction
• Experience as direct supervisor to 1 or more coworkers, preferred

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software

• Strong leadership and facilitation skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of engineering design processes and precast construction
