About the role
The FPGA Design Research Engineer develops embedded systems for real-time controls and industrial communication applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, simulate, test, and optimize FPGA solutions using tools like Verilog, VHDL, and high-level synthesis.
- Collaborate with government agencies, universities, and industry partners to advance embedded systems technology.
- Support the transition of prototypes into field-ready products.
- Publish research and contribute to patents and open-source projects.
Requirements
- Ph.D., Master's, or Bachelor's degree in relevant fields with industry experience.
- 2-5 years of FPGA/SoC design experience.
- Proficiency with Xilinx/Intel tools, digital logic, RTL verification, high-speed interfaces, and version control.
- Knowledge of embedded programming, Linux systems, real-time OS, and virtualization is desirable.
