Engineer, Design

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality designs of large-scale BESS and data center power infrastructure products based on customer specifications
• Apply engineering principles to design or modify products for prototype testing
• Participate in design reviews of all products designed within the department
• Support quoting activities and customer specification reviews to develop solutions that effectively meet customer needs
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Create detailed part designs and drawings using SolidWorks software
• Collaborate closely with suppliers and internal departments to deliver best-in-class products to the energy storage, data center and renewable energy industries

Qualifications

• Minimum BSME graduate with at least 2 years recent design experience
• Minimum three years’ experience using SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM
• Prior experience designing for BESS, data centers, power distribution systems, or related industries
• Knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM)
• Good understanding of safety standards and environmental impact of a design
• Great computational and spatial ability
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to travel as needed
