Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality designs of large-scale BESS and data center power infrastructure products based on customer specifications
- Apply engineering principles to design or modify products for prototype testing
- Participate in design reviews of all products designed within the department
- Support quoting activities and customer specification reviews to develop solutions that effectively meet customer needs
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Create detailed part designs and drawings using SolidWorks software
- Collaborate closely with suppliers and internal departments to deliver best-in-class products to the energy storage, data center and renewable energy industries
Qualifications
- Minimum BSME graduate with at least 2 years recent design experience
- Minimum three years’ experience using SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM
- Prior experience designing for BESS, data centers, power distribution systems, or related industries
- Knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM)
- Good understanding of safety standards and environmental impact of a design
- Great computational and spatial ability
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to travel as needed
