Job Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing processes for new product/programs.
• (Specify assembly equipment, establish process flow, estimate labor requirements, develop work instructions, design and implement error proofing, etc.).
• Prepare quote and other customer required submissions.
• Establish production floor layouts that promote lean manufacturing concepts and effective usage of space.
• Capture department responsibilities for launches of new programs.
• Provide leadership and audit the process for manufacturing effectiveness and quality.
• Represent Nascote at assembly plants for problem evaluation or during launches.
• Represent Nascote at vendor shops to validate machines prior to delivery.
• Investigate process problems using the 8D or similar problem-solving methodologies. Lead teams to effective solutions.
• Periodically re-evaluate assembly processes for improved throughput, labor utilization, and quality.
• Prepare Engineering Change documents and follow up as the changes move through departments.
• Must be competent in and utilize AIAG "Core Tools."
