Engineer

About the role

Ensure that company requirements for equipment and items are processed in the most cost-effective, economical, and timely manner within the framework of defined company policies.

Responsibilities

• Work towards generating maintenance contracts and support all organizational activities in this direction.
• Conduct regular random checks on service operations on the workshop floor to verify compliance at all stages of the service cycle and provide on-the-spot feedback.
• Provide cycle feedback on expired or about-to-expire warranties of equipment and highlight them to the direct manager.
• Handle customer complaints promptly and effectively in accordance with company policies and practices; escalate cases to a superior if required.
• Report any changes, non-compliance with product specifications, safety issues, or operational progress as they occur or when requested.
• Carry out troubleshooting and rectify workshop problems.
• Arrange the required manpower to complete jobs.
• Analyze deficiencies in equipment and supervise necessary repairs.
• Plan and schedule technicians, material, and equipment efficiently within set time frames.
• Maintain effective lines of communication between implementation and execution functions.
• Ensure prompt repairs by responding to breakdown calls.
• Maintain and enforce a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or similar studies.
• 3 years of experience in maintenance of heavy and industrial equipment.
• Ability to handle different types of customers.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to lead, organize staff, and operations.
