About the role

Impact Shipt is seeking an Engineer for our Enterprise Tools & AI Enablement team to own our organization's digital nervous system. The role involves leading the lifecycle management of critical SaaS ecosystems including Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365, ensuring top-tier reliability, security, and performance. Additionally, the role drives enterprise-wide AI adoption by stress-testing and deploying features like Slack AI and Google Gemini, building automated release pipelines, and enforcing strict data governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the lifecycle management of critical SaaS ecosystems including Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365, ensuring top-tier reliability, security, and performance.
• Drive enterprise-wide AI adoption by stress-testing and deploying features like Slack AI and Google Gemini, building automated release pipelines, and enforcing strict data governance.
• Bridge the gap between vendor innovation and internal needs by translating technical roadmaps into strategic long-term plans.
• Manage complex, cross-functional projects from inception to delivery.
• Partner with security and engineering teams to replace redundant tooling.
• Serve as a tier-3 escalation point.
• Mitigate workplace friction while maintaining high platform reliability through automation expertise.

Requirements

• At least 4 years in software or systems engineering, specifically designing and maintaining scalable SaaS architectures (e.g., Google Workspace, M365, Slack, Zoom, Zapier).
• Proficiency in Python, Go, AI integration, Agile methodologies, SaaSops, Release Management, RBAC, and Enterprise Tooling Administration.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.

Skills & Education

• Apache Kafka, Collaboration, Go Programming Language, RESTful APIs
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience | Required

Work Arrangement

Hybrid roles in Birmingham, AL typically work in-office at least 2 days per week, with core in-office days on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Hybrid roles in Minneapolis, MN typically work in-office at least 1 day per week on either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. Hybrid roles in San Francisco, CA typically work in-office at least 1 day per week between Monday and Thursday. Certain roles may require in-office presence on a full-time basis.

Pay

Pay Range: $70,000 - $115,000

Please note that the salary range above is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
