About the role
This is a full-time on-site role for an Engineer at Perseus Defense. The position is located in Austin, TX. Available positions are in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Hardware Engineering, Computer Vision, Electrical Engineering, and Software Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Work on the development of advanced 16" missiles designed to shoot down drones at a fraction of the cost of current solutions.
- Collaborate with a team of highly skilled engineers to design, develop, and test cutting-edge aerospace and defense technologies.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of systems that enable drones to be neutralized and protected against enemy threats.
- Participate in the research and development of new technologies and methodologies to improve missile performance and efficiency.
- Support the integration of hardware and software components to ensure seamless operation of the missile system.
Requirements
- 1+ years of relevant experience in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Hardware Engineering, Computer Vision, Electrical Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- Strong understanding of missile systems, drone technology, and autonomous flight control systems.
- Experience with C/C++, Python, and other relevant programming languages.
- Knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and sensor technologies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
- Passion for innovation and a drive to solve complex technical problems.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Hardware Engineering, Computer Vision, Electrical Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- Relevant professional certifications or licenses preferred.
Skills
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
- Experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers.
- Knowledge of sensor technologies and data acquisition systems.
