Engineer
About the role
Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Description Engineer to join our team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about maintaining high standards in our hotels while providing excellent service to our guests.
Responsibilities
- Aid in preventative maintenance tasks such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, and patching vinyl.
- Perform scheduled room care and check electrical systems like air conditioning controls, television sets, and lighting systems.
- Assist in minor repairs and major repairs of hotel equipment including small appliances, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, boilers, pool equipment, HVAC, hand and power tools, and plumbing systems.
- Service the hotel's pool, adjust chemicals, clean filters, and complete maintenance request forms and record logs.
- Maintain the building exterior and "curb appeal" through tasks like snow removal, lawn care, painting, gardening, and refurbishing furniture and fixtures.
- Respond courteously to guest inquiries, complaints, and requests to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Operate heavy machinery safely and comply with attendance rules.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have the ability to communicate in English, possess a self-starting personality, maintain a professional appearance, and communicate well with guests. They should also be willing to pitch-in and help coworkers, lift up to 50 lbs, and follow hotel security policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Essential qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, and relevant experience in hotel maintenance or similar field. Previous experience in a hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
Skills

Pay
The starting pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
This position is available on a 2nd shift schedule from 3pm-11pm, with workdays on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
