Job Duties

• Infrastructure Maintenance: Direct districtwide road and bridge maintenance, equipment servicing, parts inventory, and a local ferry operation.
• Traffic: Oversee traffic engineering section, roadway signage/striping crews, and roadway safety studies.
• Facility Management: Oversee the maintenance and planning of districtwide facility systems and buildings.
• Emergency Response: Plan and direct emergency preparedness, natural disaster responses, and hazardous material incidents.
• Special Projects: Manage Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), railroad coordination, and accident reimbursable programs.

Compensation

Position-Specific Details: This position has a Special Entrance Rate (SER) of $3,812.00/biweekly. Additional compensation may be considered with extraordinary qualifications in accordance with State Civil Service Rules and DOTD policy.

Licensing Requirements

Must have a current Louisiana Professional Engineering License.
