Job Summary
Performing tasks such as staying current on industry trends, performing staging and setup, installing and configuring networks, researching equipment, providing systems support, designing automation systems, and developing user guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Spending four (4) to six (6) hours per week staying current on industry trends and available products and services.
- Performing staging and setup as needed for project support and for self-instruction.
- Working closely with Systems Engineers to install and configure networks based on an Installation Design Package (IDP).
- Researching equipment from a multitude of manufacturers to resolve technical issues during installation and testing.
- Working closely with Design Department to identify and correct design problems during the design cycle.
- Suggesting process improvements and cost savings to aid Implementation Department for future installs.
- Providing systems support for a large-scale, high performance computing center, including the installation and management of computer systems, workstations, operating systems, peripherals, and system interfaces; monitoring system usage and evaluating performance against defined goals; developing and maintaining systems documentation.
- Providing designs for automation systems, including a list of quantities and types of materials used.
- Providing user guideline documentations and manuals for user-end custom programs and applications.
- Working within a lab environment, learning different IT and ESS systems.
Qualifications
- Clearance/Citizen Type: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; Ability to obtain a SECRET Clearance is REQUIRED.
- Education/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required with 2+ years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity. Must obtain a Security+ within 6 months.

- Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
- Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Skills (a plus).
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
