Engineer 1 - Product
About the role
We are looking for an Engineer to join our Secure Products Group (SPG) in Colorado Springs, CO. This position will have a primary focus on New Product Development (NPD) and sustaining engineering for Microchip's SPG.
Responsibilities
- Prepare overall project, characterization, and qualification plans
- Validate and characterize silicon
- Participate in new product development teams and track project progress from project kick-off to release to production
- Analyze and report data
- Ensure devices are manufacturable and are setup correctly in the production system
- Debug problems in an organized and efficient manner
- Team lead in root cause analysis and problem solving efforts
- Perform other job related tasks as instructed by the manager.
Requirements/Qualifications
- BSEE or MSEE with 0 to 2 years of industry experience
- Excellent analytical and debugging skills and the ability to proactively resolve issues
- Strong analytical, communication (written and verbal), and documentation skills
- Excellent problem solving, debugging and organization skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- General knowledge of Statistics
- Must be highly motivated and able to work in a collaborative group environment

Benefits
