Responsibilities
- Lead by example as a supervisor, assisting guests with room calls and efficiently troubleshooting any concerns brought to your attention
- Maintain an exceptional Preventative Maintenance program for guest rooms and various operational equipment, including pools, kitchen equipment, and other assigned areas
- Support your department head's needs while providing guidance and mentorship to the engineering team
- Foster a collaborative team environment within your department and across other departments such as Front Office, Security, Sales, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage
- Prioritize safety by utilizing proper PPE and adhering to all safety regulations set by the city, state, and OSHA
- Perform comprehensive general repair and maintenance on all equipment in and around the hotel, ensuring everything is in top working order
Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent, trade school or General Maintenance/Technician certification a plus
- Experience: Previous experience working in a hotel or customer service capacity required
- Mathematical knowledge of building and construction
- Full understanding and comfort working on a computer with MS Suite-Outlook, Word, Excel
- Preferred Experience: Working on HVAC, plumbing, construction and machinery
