Advanced Technologies, Inc. The Engineering Team at ATI is currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to perform the following duties: Mechanical engineering support in the design of aerospace related structures.Design 3D components and assemblies using Solidworks, Rhino, and KeyCreator CAD packages. Provide detailed drawings and specifications to facilitate fabrication of designed components and assemblies.Perform hand-calculations and preliminary analysis to determine appropriate initial sizing of structural components.Perform tolerance stack-up analyses to ensure fit and function of complex assemblies.Work with both customers and suppliers to take a design from concept through fabrication, testing, and delivery.Prepare and present design reviews to the customer.Provide reports, procedures, and engineering specifications.Collaborate and work with other engineering and fabrication team members. Job Requirements Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace EngineeringTypically 0-3 years experience in designing metallic and/or composite assemblies/components using advanced 3D modeling tools.Knowledge of simple mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic actuation mechanisms.Knowledge of typical aerospace materials (high-strength alloys and composites) is a plus.Strengths should include a solid foundation in engineering mechanics, and strength of materials.Must be capable of modeling and designing complex mechanical systems with assistance from a supervisor or manager.
