Engine Technician II

About the Role

An Engine Technician II is a Powerplant certified technician responsible for independently performing external engine builds and assisting with internal engine repair within a Part 145 MRO environment. This role requires a solid foundation in engine maintenance practices and the ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision. The technician is expected to navigate technical data proficiently and maintain high standards of airworthiness and safety across all assigned engine systems.

Responsibilities

• Independently build and install external engine components, including Quick Engine Change (QEC) kits, ensuring all work is ready for final inspection sign-off.
• Assist in internal engine repairs, including module removal, installation, and disassembly under guidance of senior technicians or supervisors.
• Read, interpret, and follow maintenance manuals (AMM), engine shop manuals (ESM), technical instructions, and Service Bulletins.
• Support the training and guidance of junior technicians as needed, modeling proper maintenance techniques and safety protocols.
• Actively participate in on-the-job training (OJT) and site-specific safety programs to advance technical skill levels.
• Accurately complete assigned checklists and documentation.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
