Engine System Cooling Engineer
Overview
The Engine System Cooling team designs, develops, validates, and releases cooling components for electrified vehicles. Components include: * Cooling module assemblies (radiator, condenser, electric fan assembly) * Transmission oil coolers * High- and low-pressure hose and tube assemblies * Electric coolant heaters * Valves and pumps Components are developed using industry best practices and methodologies, including CAE, System Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), and Design Validation Plans (DVP&R).
Responsibilities
- Own a set of cooling components across all stages of vehicle development
- Lead early packaging and development of components to meet cooling functional objectives
- Coincide CAE, design, prototyping, and testing activities, along with associated documentation
- Partner with suppliers to ensure design for manufacturability, and track supplier progress to meet part maturity and creation milestones
- Support vehicle assembly and testing, resolving any component-related issues identified
- Address quality concerns and identify potential cost reductions post-launch

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in engine system cooling engineering
- Experience with CAE tools and System Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA)
- Strong understanding of automotive cooling systems and components
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
