Responsibilities
- Report on time to designated locations for pickup and drop-off.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, agency vehicle policies, and safety procedures.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Immediately report maintenance issues, accidents, or safety concerns to supervisor.
- Drive to and from designated pickup areas.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and organization.
- Document transportation logs and engagement-related contacts as required.
- Serve as a welcoming first point of contact for participants.
- Build rapport with participants using trauma-informed and recovery-oriented approaches.
- Encourage consistent attendance and active participation in program services.
- Support re-engagement efforts for participants who disengage from services.
- Observe and report behavioral concerns, or safety issues to clinical staff.
- Aid participants in transitioning safely into the program environment.
- Provide supportive listening and appropriate encouragement while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Recognize signs of behavioral distress, or crisis.
- Immediately notify clinical or supervisory staff of concerns.
- Follow program emergency and crisis response protocols.
- Assist with managing front door operations at 256 Washington St. between transportation runs.
- Represent the program positively in the community when transporting participants.
- Greet visitors and participants professionally.
- Ensure building safety and appropriate visitor procedures are followed.
- Communicate effectively with clinical and administrative staff regarding participant attendance and engagement.
- Participate in team meetings as requested.
- Assist with program events, activities, and outreach efforts.

- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Education and Experience
- A High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
- A valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record required.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations a plus.
- Individuals with peer certification are strongly encouraged to apply.
Physical Characteristics
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
- Ability to lift up to 25–40 lbs.
- Ability to assist passengers entering and exiting vehicles.
- Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
- Frequent walking, standing, and light physical activity within the facility.
Pay
$30.00 per hour
Schedule
8:00AM-4:00PM & 10:00AM-6:00PM (35 hrs.)
