About the role

The AWS Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Engagement Manager (EM) to lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects. This role requires combining technical expertise with strong project leadership skills to drive successful implementations of AWS-based solutions for clients. The EM will bridge business requirements with technical solutions, facilitate technical discussions, and ensure alignment with customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Leverage comprehensive knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning.

• Bridge business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating engineering discussions and ensuring alignment with customer business outcomes.

• Distill customer needs into clear technical requirements and map them to business outcomes.

• Decompose complex technical problems into actionable, deliverable solutions.

• Contribute to technical documentation and define documentation standards.

• Lead and manage complex cloud migration and implementation projects.

• Validate technical solutions against business goals, recognize when additional technical evaluation is needed, and manage technical risks.

• Lead increasingly complex technical projects, shape cross-organizational technical strategies, and establish best practices in your domain.

• Apply management and leadership capabilities to successfully execute project plans, proactively identify and manage risks, resolve issues, escalate when appropriate, and drive projects to successful completion, while exceeding customer expectations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of cloud computing experience.

• Bachelor's degree in STEM field.

• 2+ years of leading multiple Agile teams (like Scrum Masters, Product Owners) concurrently or at scale experience.

• 5+ years of leading and delivering enterprise-level IT engagements experience.

Qualifications

• Active project management certification (e.g., APM, CSM, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2).

• AWS certification.

• Experience with Agile and project management toolsets like Jira, Rally, VersionOne or Taiga.

• Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives, IT, and lines of businesses across organizations or equivalent.

Skills

• Strong technology and program/project management experience.

• Ability to decompose complex technical problems into actionable, deliverable solutions.

Pay

Base salary range for this position is $153,600.00 - $207,700.00 USD annually.
