Engagement Ground Support - Nashville - Contract

About the role

Tutored by Teachers (TbT) is committed to advancing equity in education. We partner with Metro Nashville Public Schools and seek a Ground Support Contractor to support tutoring sessions in classrooms.

Key Responsibilities

• Support students in logging into the Tutored by Teachers platform.
• Troubleshoot technical issues that arise during platform setup or use.
• Provide on-the-ground support to students and teachers to ensure smooth implementation of the program.
• Collaborate with school staff to address any technology or classroom management issues.
• Communicate regularly with Tutored by Teachers Engagement Managers to keep them updated on how the engagements are running.
• Ensure that all classroom technology (e.g., laptops, tablets) is functional and ready for use.

Requirements

• Former classroom teacher or classroom experience.
• Strong technology skills and the ability to troubleshoot tech issues efficiently, especially with Chromebooks and iPads.
• A strong understanding of Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meets.
• Dependable.
• Effective communicator who can collaborate seamlessly with students, school staff, and the TbT team.
• Able to commit to on-site work at one or more schools in Nashville during school hours.
• Access to a car, maintain driver's insurance, and the ability to travel to school sites independently.
• Passionate about education.

Benefits

Part-time, contractor role with hours depending on program needs. Position will start in January and continue throughout the school year.
