About the role

enviENERGY Studio is a Boston-based energy and sustainability consulting firm collaborating with national and international real estate developers and architecture firms to integrate environmental responsibility into building design, construction, and operations. Our mission is to create economically and environmentally responsible buildings, to empower and mentor emerging professionals, and to implement innovative and ambitious conservation measures in the next generation of built environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform building energy modeling and analysis for new construction and existing buildings
  • Support Passive House (PHIUS/PHI) design consulting efforts
  • Develop and evaluate energy conservation and decarbonization strategies
  • Utilize analytical tools such as eQuest, OpenStudio, and WUFI Passive
  • Contribute to LEED, WELL, and Fitwel project documentation and administration (optional)
  • Assist with energy benchmarking, BERDO/BEUDO-type analyses, and emissions reduction strategies
  • Communicate findings through reports, presentations, and visual graphics
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams throughout all project phases
  • Contribute to internal tool development, workflows, and company growth initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Sustainable Design, or a related field
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in building energy modeling and/or Passive House design consulting (required)
  • Proficiency in energy modeling tools (e.g., eQuest, EnergyPlus/OpenStudio, WUFI Passive)
  • Strong understanding of building systems and high-performance design strategies
  • Familiarity with ASHRAE 90.1 and relevant energy codes and standards
  • Able to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications

  • LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP)
  • Certified Passive House Consultant (CPHC)
