About the role

Assist with utility-scale projects, ensuring safety and compliance with electrical regulations while training under a journey-level electrician.

Responsibilities

  • Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using various hand tools
  • Safely use hand and power tools after proper training (drills, crimpers, cutters, etc.)
  • Lift, position, and fasten objects
  • Prepare, handle, and supply materials and tools for electrical trades
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, tools, and equipment
  • Work under immediate and close supervision according to standard instructions and procedures
  • Build relationships with individuals of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
  • Pull DC and MV wire and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Some construction and/or electrical experience
  • Current driver’s license
  • Limited ability to read and interpret documents (safety regulations, blueprints, etc.)
  • Ability to work with power and non-powered hand tools
  • Willingness to follow instructions and ask clarifying questions
  • Ability to work safely with electrical equipment
  • Knowledge of electrical systems
  • Ability to handle materials weighing up to 200 lbs
  • Strong teamwork orientation
  • Positive attitude and professional customer service skills
  • Active listening and effective communication skills
  • Ability to frequently work in heat and other weather conditions
  • Frequently crouch, kneel, squat, climb
  • Repetitive hand, arm, leg movement
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs (over 50 lbs with assistance of another team member or equipment)
  • Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status

Pay

The base pay range for this role is $25.49–$50.99 per hour. Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL (+5%), Seattle, WA and Portland, OR (+10%), Washington, D.C. (+12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
